As
economic conditions in Haiti continue to deteriorate, the number of
orphaned, street children continues to rise. Ministries of the Great
Commission (MGC), established in 2005 is a nonprofit Christian
organization committed to addressing the needs of impoverished and
uneducated street children in Haiti by meeting their most basic
needs - shelter, food, clean water, health care, education,
vocational training, spiritual and emotional well being. Thanks
to the generous contributions of many, MGC was able to start a
feeding program in November 2007. By September 2008, MGC was
able to make an education a reality for these children by providing
tuition and uniforms.
